Okay, I started off watching this series out of boredom during lockdown. I honestly didn’t know what to expect but that was kinda what made it so great; having no expectations and going in with an open mind. Because this show is absolutely bonkers.

This is basically a story about a suburban couple, Joel and Sheila Hammond, who are simple realtors (who pronounce it wrongly every time), and how their life turned upside down when Sheila catches something…or so they thought (she was actually turning into the undead). The way these two hide this from the entire suburbs while trying to maintain their normal, cookie-cutter life is SO FUNNY I SWEAR.

If I’m being completely honest, I’m always jealous of Sheila because Joel does everything in his power to help her. Really husband goals if you ask me. They’re both so based because I’d do exactly what they do, every single decision would have been the same. So far, these two are the most relatable characters of any show. Personally, I’m most like Sheila in the way I do things, post vampirism (another way of saying I’m impulsive I guess).

I feel this show is one of my comfort shows; I rewatched it multiple times and I’m still not tired of it. It was horrible how they ended things so abruptly, since the creators themselves didn’t get a heads up on the cancellation of their show. So, definitely #RenewSantaClaritaDiet because it was so good and it still had so much to share with us!

This is one of those rare moments I’ll have to give a series:
