Series: Lucifer
Year: 2016–2021
Length: 6 seasons (93 episodes)
Average duration of each episode: ~45 minutes
Where to watch: Netflix

As someone who has always been intrigued by the supernatural, adding this show to my watchlist was a no-brainer.

I got into Lucifer earlier than the masses, before Netflix made it popular. Back then, my Christian and Muslim friends were saying that they won’t be watching the show because it glamourises and humanises the devil AKA Lucifer Morningstar. But suddenly, it’s everyone’s comfort show.

This is my usual type of show; supernatural and a little bit of crime with a side of buddy cop humour. The slowburn between Lucifer and Chloe was annoying at times tho. I loved Mazikeen and her whole character arc was so beautiful! Loved that she got a happy ending (or else I would have fought everyone).

The only thing the final season did right is the ending song in the last scene of the last episode. The ending was honestly so bad in my opinion. Why would you undo all that character development? What’s the point of telling us “you have free will” only to end with a “you need to follow your destiny” message? I don’t get it.

As much as I loved the first 5 seasons and the premise of the show, I can’t help but to rate this:
