As someone who was quite into How I Met Your Mother back in the day, I was intrigued to watch this series which was a spinoff of that. At first, I thought it was going to be from the Mother’s POV, but was disappointed it wasn’t. Not for long though because I found out that Ms Hillary Duff was going to be the main character.
I feel like this show has the most accurate portrayal of dating in the 2020s fr fr. With all the weirdos, annoying people, and dating apps, I gotta be real, I loved this so much more than the OG.The cameos from Barney and Robin plus the nods to the OG series was a nice touch. I was truly devastated when they cancelled it because it had so much potential.
Plus, I saw that one of the writers on the show actually revealed who was supposed to be the Father in this series, which made me even more annoyed that the show was cancelled. There was so much I wanted to see from them, especially how they develop the characters.
I’d give this show a 4.5/5 only because it didn’t get its time in the sun that it deserved.
